Zephyr Cove

Zephyr Cove is a small tourist/resort town just north of South Lake Tahoe on Highway 50. Zephyr Cove is one of a few Lake Tahoe places to visit that is in Nevada, not California. The Zephyr Cove area includes boat, kayak, and canoe rentals. There are a few hotels in the Zephyr Cove area that are located right on the shore of Lake Tahoe. Zephyr Cove is a small community that is more of a place on the outskirts of South Lake Tahoe than a city in inself. Zephyr Cove is just a quick 15 minute drive from the prime area of South Lake Tahoe. The Zephyr Cove area features a few nice beaches great for swimming and the family picnic. This area is mostly just a tourist destination for those wishing to access the lake waters and is fairly crowded on summer weekends.
